Speech Language Pathologists:

Andrea Rich, MA, CCC-SLP – Andrea is a Speech Language Pathologist and director of 2 private practices, one in Washington, DC and one here in Montreal. Andrea did her undergraduate and graduate training in Washington, DC and worked and trained with Dr. Stanley Greenspan and Dr. Serena Weider, authors of “The Special Needs Child” and the developers of the DIR model. Andrea is on the professional advisory board of the Unicorn Children’s Foundation (a non-profit organization for children with learning and communication disorders) and is on the executive board of the Developmental Delay Resources (DDR). Andrea has advanced training in the areas of PROMPT therapy, NDT, Lindamood Bell, the Listening Program, Phonographix and the Beckman oral motor protocol. Andrea is an original Montrealer who moved back when she saw needs were not being met in many areas for children with language and communication delays.

Erin Lieberman, MSc, SLP (C) – Erin is a CASLPA (Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists) certified Speech Language Pathologist who received her undergraduate degree in physiology from McGill University and received her master’s degree from the School of Human Communication Disorders at Dalhousie University. Erin is particularly interested in working with children of all ages. Erin’s diverse range of experience includes the assessment and treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, global developmental delay, apraxia of speech, stuttering, auditory processing disorder, Down Syndrome, and speech and/or language delays. She also has experience providing individual, group, and consultative services. Erin has more specific training in the areas of Phonographix and the Lindamood Bell programs. Erin is excited to be back in Montreal and is motivated to provide successful services to her clients.

Catherine Norsworthy, CTESL, M.Sc.(A), SLP(C) – Catherine received an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and a professional Certificate in the Teaching of English as a Second Language from Carleton University before going on to earn a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from McGill University. An energetic and enthusiastic therapist, Catherine is experienced in the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of communication and swallowing disorders in both pediatric and adult populations. Particular areas of professional interest include motor speech disorders and the development of literacy and academic skills. In recognition of her broad knowledge base, Catherine was awarded the 2008 Clinical Certification Exam Award in Speech-Language Pathology by the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.

Natalie Ohnona, M.O.A, is an OOAQ (Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Quebec) certified Speech and Language Pathologist who offers therapies in both French and English. Natalie received her first undergraduate degree in Physiology from McGill University. She continued on to obtain a second undergraduate degree as well as a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the Faculté d’Orthophonie et d’Audiologie at the University of Montréal. Natalie works with children of different age groups and backgrounds. She is experienced in assessment and treatment of children with speech and/or language delays and impairments, global developmental delay, Gilles LaTourette Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Natalie prioritizes working closely with her patients and their families in order to provide the necessary support and ensure that therapy goals are integrated in the child’s daily life.

Heather Reckling, MSc(A), SLP(C) – A native of St. John’s Newfoundland, Heather completed her undergraduate degree in Linguistics and Psychology at Memorial University, receiving a medal for academic excellence. She then moved to Montreal to complete her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at McGill’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. A CASLPA-certified clinician, Heather has specific experience in the evaluation and treatment of articulation and language delays/disorders in preschool and school-aged children, and she has also received training for the Phono-graphix reading program. Besides providing speech and language services to families at Rich Rewards, Heather works with hearing-impaired children at the Montreal Oral School for the Deaf. She further devotes her time to assessing children for a language development study on bilingualism at McGill. Heather is very enthusiastic about her field, and looks forward to working with children for many years to come.

Occupational Therapists:

Sari Levitt, BKin, M.O.T., RYT – Sari received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Manitoba, and trained to become a yoga instructor at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts. Sari combines her fascination of movement as a pediatric occupational therapist and a yoga instructor for children and adults. She uses a holistic and movement centered approach in her work to enable children’s development of fine and gross motor skills, increase knowledge of their own bodies, learn to cope with stress, increase attention span, and allow social skills to flourish. Sari has a strong knowledge of sensory integration techniques which particularly helps with the younger population. Sari has also advanced knowledge of the “Handwriting Without Tears” program for children struggling with fine motor and handwriting skills. Through her multi-disciplinary approach to treatment, Sari remains present, playful, thorough and compassionate in her work with children.

Play Therapists:

Nancy Robinson has her degree in Special Care Counseling, and has training in the areas of DIR model, RDI model, ABA therapy, PEC program, TEACCH program, and the Hanen program. Nancy has worked extensively with children whose diagnoses include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, hearing impairment, and non verbal learning disabilities. Nancy presently works privately for families and schools in the Montreal area, providing consultation and developing and implementing programs as needed. Nancy also worked for five years as an educator at the Canadian Institute for Neurological Development, a school for children on the autisitc spectrum. She was the director of the Westmount preschool afternoon program for several years.

Toni Bloomfield, BA Sociology, Minor Psychology. Certified Early Childhood Educator, Pre-school Teacher and After-School Coordinator. For the past four years, Toni has worked at the Canadian Institute for Neuro-Integrative Development here in Montreal, also known as Giant Steps. She has been trained in the TEACCH method, using this model as an adaptation to incorporate play in everyday life. She also has training in Relationship Development Intervention (RDI). For the past six years, Toni has work privately and through Giant Steps as an inclusion educator. She continues to work with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, and non- verbal learning disabilities.

Physical Therapist:

Jennifer Sailofsky BScPT – Jennifer completed her bachelor of science in physiotherapy at McGill University in 2000. She has been working with the pediatric population since she completed her training and has taken numerous post-graduate courses in rhumatology, orthopedics and pediatrics throughout her years of practice. Jennifer is an energetic therapist with an interest and work experience in sensory integration techniques, neurodevelopmental facilitation as well as gross motor stimulation through dynamic play and stabilization. Jennifer splits her time between the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital in the pediatric language program and the motor deficiency program and Rich Rewards. She is excited to be a part of our Rich Rewards Team and offers fun, efficient and effective therapy.
